What's the Difference?

French drains and dry creek beds can look similar on the surface.  There are some differences and the right choice for you will depend on your drainage needs. 

French Drain Installation Involves:

• Digging a trench to redirect water flow

• Smoothing out and lining the trench

• Installation of a perforated pipe

• Installation of gravel around the pipe and creating a river rock cover

Dry Creek Bed Installation Involves:

• Digging a trench that mimics a river bed

• Smoothing and lining the trench with landscape fabric

• Filling the trench with river rock to create a beautiful creek

• Installing plants that integrate well into the dry creek bed and the surrounding landscaping
